WHEN: The Lake Loop Shop Hop begins Thursday, October 19th and ends Saturday, October 21st, 2023. Store hours are 9am to 5pm each day for the duration of this event.

WHERE: Your driving route around Lake Simcoe is entirely up to you! You can start and end at any participating quilt shop.​​

Lake Loop Passport
Fill your Lake Loop Passport by collecting a stamp from each Quilt Shop for just visiting! Submit your completed passport at the last shop to be entered in the prize draws.

Quilt Project
This year’s project is called
“Feathered Friends”. It features 15 blocks
(3 x 10” blocks per store) of bright, beautiful Birds that you raw edge applique and finish into a 46” x 70” quilt.
This beautiful quilt features border fabric from Elizabeth's Studio and background & sashing fabric from Northcott.​​​

BLOCK FABRIC KITS with PATTERN & TEMPLATES:

Each Quilt Shop will offer one Fabric Kit for $17 containing the patterns, applique templates and fabric for 3 different bird blocks. If you purchase all five Fabric Kits, you will have enough fabric and patterns to complete 15 quilt blocks.

You will just need to have about 3 metres of 12" wide fusible web
(e.g., Steam-A-Seam Lite) on hand to make the applique birds for each 10" block. You can purchase fusible web at any of the quilts shops along the way.

FINISHING PATTERN & KIT:

At the last shop you visit, you will receive the Finishing Pattern free when you hand in your completed passport.

At any of the shops you will have the opportunity to purchase a Finishing Kit for $33. The Kit includes fabric for the sashing, border and binding.
Collect a Stamp in your Passport at all five Quilt Shops. At your final stop, remit your Passport and be entered into the prize draws.
Grand Prize: $1,000 Shopping Spree (5 stores x $200 each).

Secondary Prize: One of five $200 gift cards (one from each Quilt Shop).
